My name is Mike Carlson, and this site is my personal blog.
The title, My Wushu Blog, comes from one of my hobbies. I’ve been doing Wushu (Chinese martial arts) for a few years, and like my friend Mark, I like to blog about my experiences. That is just one facet of my life, so other topics creep in like:
- The people that put up with me (ie my family and friends)
- Geeky tech stuff like Unix (FreeBSD, Ubuntu, etc…)
- Movies
- Music
- and food
Professionally, I work in the IT field, and that seems to work out just fine since I get to do my hobby for a living. I’ve worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Unix Administrator where I do a lot of fun things with Unix since 2002.
